Consultation
This initial meeting with your doctor is crucial to discuss your medical history, current health status, and specific goals for the breast fat transfer. The doctor will assess your suitability for the procedure and explain it in detail. This is the perfect time to ask questions and express any concerns you might have.
Pre-Op
Before your surgery, you’ll undergo various medical tests and evaluations to ensure you’re ready for the procedure. You’ll receive comprehensive pre-operative instructions, which may include fasting guidelines, adjustments to current medications, and advice on what to wear on the day of the surgery. Following these instructions is essential for a smooth and successful surgery.
The Procedure
At the start of the Vaser Liposuction, we numb the area we’ll be harvesting the fat from with a local anaesthetic. You’ll also receive IV sedation, tailored to your needs based on the initial consultation with your doctor.
Vaser Lipo uses advanced ultrasound technology to break down and liquefy fat cells in the target area. We make several incisions in these areas to access the fat.
The liquefied fat is then carefully suctioned out through these incisions using a special tool called a cannula.
This fat is then spun in a centrifuge to purify it. Afterwards, it’s injected into your breasts through several incisions, changing their size and shape.
Aftercare & Recovery
Getting Home
We recommend arranging for a friend or family member to drive you, as you won’t be in a condition to drive yourself. Typically, you’ll be ready to leave the hospital on the day of your surgery.
After-Care
- Your post-surgery care will be directly overseen by your doctor, supported by our dedicated team.
- We provide a 24/7 contact number for any post-surgery questions, ensuring you can always reach us.
- Unlike other clinics, we ensure your follow-up care is with your doctor, not just nursing staff.
Recovery Timeline
Immediate Post Procedure
You’ll be released into the care of a family member or friend.
An overnight hospital stay is unlikely – but you’ll be guided by your doctor.
Once home, you must rest and take it easy.
Your breasts will be supported in a post-operative bra, and you will need to avoid wearing a regular underwire bra for six weeks.
First Two Weeks
Expect some soreness and tenderness, but we’ll provide pain relief to minimise discomfort.
You can expect to be back to work around the 1-2 week mark, but this may vary from patient to patient.
