We customise this process for each person to achieve a more proportionate arm shape. Our liposuction methods aim to target areas of fat that may be resistant to diet and exercise. We aim to create a more balanced and harmonious look for your arms, balancing out your overall body shape.
Average Procedure Time 1-3 hours
Anaesthetic Type Local with sedation
Hospital Stay Day
TIME OFF WORK 1 week on average depending on multiple factors
Average RECOVERY 6 Weeks

Benefits

  • Targeted Fat Reduction: Arm liposuction is designed to remove excess fat from specific areas of the arms. This is beneficial for individuals who, despite maintaining a healthy lifestyle, find that certain areas of arm fat are resistant to diet and exercise.
  • Symmetry and Proportion: The procedure aims to achieve a more balanced appearance of the arms in proportion to the rest of the body. It’s tailored to the individual’s body shape and size.
  • Quick Recovery: Patients typically experience a faster return to daily activities, with most resuming work within a week. Recovery is generally more comfortable due to the nature of the procedure.

Potential Candidates

Considering having Vaser liposuction on your arms and wondering if it’s the right choice for you? You may be a suitable candidate if you identify with the following.

  • You’re in good overall health with realistic expectations about the procedure.
  • You are at a stable weight and are committed to a healthy lifestyle to maintain results.
  • You have good skin elasticity, which helps it conform to the new contours after fat removal from the arms.
  • You don’t smoke – candidates must quit or refrain from smoking before and after the procedure.
  • You’re not pregnant or nursing
  • You understand that arm liposuction is not a substitute for proper diet and exercise and should have realistic goals for the procedure.

What To Expect From Arm Liposuction

Consultation

During your initial consultation for arm liposuction at our clinic, you will have a detailed discussion with one of our experienced medical professionals. This session is essential for reviewing your medical history, assessing your current health, and understanding your goals for the procedure.

A doctor from Levant Cosmetic Surgery will evaluate your suitability for arm liposuction and provide a comprehensive explanation of the process. This is also an opportunity for you to raise any questions or concerns you might have about the procedure.

Pre-Op

Before the surgery, we’ll guide you through several critical preparatory steps. This may include a series of medical tests and evaluations to confirm your readiness for the procedure.

You will receive detailed pre-operative instructions from us, which will cover aspects like fasting, medication, and what to wear on the day of the surgery. Adhering closely to these guidelines is vital for ensuring a smooth and safe surgical experience.

The Procedure

Our arm liposuction procedure involves the use of anaesthetic sedation for patient comfort. Vaser liposuction utilises ultrasound technology to target the unwanted fat in each treatment area.

During the surgery, a small instrument known as a cannula is inserted through a small incision site to liquefy and remove the excess fat cells using suction. Immediately following the procedure, special compression garments are applied to your arms to aid in reducing swelling and promoting healing.

Aftercare & Recovery

Getting Home

You will be required to be collected by a responsible adult to stay with you for the remainder of the day and overnight. Even if you feel normal, your reaction time will be slower after receiving sedation medication.

Aftercare

  • After your procedure, you’ll receive comprehensive post-operative instructions for a smooth transition home.
  • We provide a 24/7 contact number for any post-surgery questions, ensuring you can always reach us.
  • Your post-surgery care will be overseen by your doctor, supported by our dedicated care team.

How Much Does Vaser Arm Liposuction Cost?

We understand that the cost of cosmetic surgery is a significant concern for many patients. It’s important to understand the cost of arm Vaser liposuction cannot be standardised with a one-size-fits-all flat fee. The cost of Vaser arm liposuction varies among patients and is influenced by several factors, including but not limited to:

  • The amount of fat cells to be removed from the targeted areas of the body.
  • The type of IV sedation used.
  • The duration of time spent in the operating room.
To provide you with an estimate, the starting price for Vaser liposuction on the arms is approximately $5,500 for the initial area.
Additional areas are charged at a smaller rate starting from around $2,000.
An "area" can refer to the lower abdomen, upper abdomen, both hips, or both upper inner thighs, for example.
Prices are a guide only and will vary from patient to patient. Book in for a consult for a personalised quote.
Why It Pays To Choose A Qualified Doctor

Opting for the most budget-friendly choice is never a wise decision, especially when it comes to healthcare and cosmetic procedures. Going for cheaper options often translates to compromising on quality, risking your safety, getting results that may not last, missing out on personalised care, and potentially facing extra expenses for corrections. To ensure better, safer outcomes and general satisfaction with your arm liposuction procedure, it’s crucial to prioritise quality and expertise.

Arm Lipo Vs Arm Lift – What’s the Difference?

Arm liposuction and arm lift (brachioplasty) are two different surgical procedures that target the appearance of your arms, that serve different purposes and come with varying risks and benefits.

  • Arm liposuction: Is a procedure focusing on the removal of excess fat from the upper arms. It may be suitable for individuals looking to reduce arm fat. This procedure is often preferred for its discreet scarring and shorter recovery time.
  • Arm lift: Focuses on addressing sagging skin and excess tissue in the upper arm area. It’s an effective solution for individuals with significant skin laxity, often resulting from weight loss or ageing. While arm lifts can provide impressive results in terms of skin tightening, they tend to involve more substantial scarring and a longer recovery period.

Considerations For Choosing Arm Liposuction

Vaser liposuction may be a treatment choice for suitable patients primarily concerned with excess fat rather than loose skin. However, the choice between arm liposuction or an arm lift should be based on individual goals, as well as consultations with a qualified doctor to determine which procedure best meets your specific needs.

Other Areas Vaser Liposuction Targets

Liposuction is a versatile procedure that can be performed on various parts of the body to reduce excess fat. Some commonly treated areas can include:

  • Tummy/Abdomen: Often chosen for removing stubborn fat in the abdominal area.
  • Back: Targets unwanted fat deposits on the lower and upper back.
  • Flanks: Helps reduce the appearance of excess fat located in the flanks and waist.
  • Thighs: Effective for reducing fat in both the inner and outer thighs, as well as the front and back thighs.
  • Buttocks: Used to reshape and reduce excess fat in the buttock area or to increase buttock size with a fat transfer procedure.
  • Chin/Neck: An option to remove the small pockets of fat located in the chin/neck area.
  • Male Breasts: Gynecomastia surgery can help reduce breast size in males.

Doctor approved areas of the body can be effectively targeted with Vaser liposuction, offering noticeable changes in body contour and shape for suitable candidates.

Arm Liposuction FAQs

Are there any risks with arm liposuction?
Like all surgeries, arm liposuction carries certain risks such as swelling, infection, hematoma, hyperpigmentation, blood loss, thromboembolism, and visible scarring. Patients must be aware of these potential risks before undergoing the procedure.
Will I have scarring?
Scarring is a natural outcome of surgery, and the incisions made for Vaser Liposuction typically fade over time. The visibility of scars varies among individuals, influenced by factors such as skin type and scarring history.
Will my arms sag after liposuction?
Whether your arms will sag after arm liposuction depends on several factors like your skin's elasticity, age, and the amount of fat removed. If you have significant skin laxity before liposuction, there may be some residual sagging. To minimise this risk and determine the best approach, it's essential to consult with a qualified doctor. They can assess your specific situation and may recommend a combination of liposuction and skin-tightening procedures for the best results.
Does liposuction work on flabby arms?
Liposuction can effectively reduce excess fat from flabby arms. However, it's important to note that liposuction primarily targets fat deposits and doesn't address loose or sagging skin directly. If your primary concern is flabbiness due to skin laxity, liposuction alone may not provide the desired outcome. Depending on the extent of flabbiness, a combination of liposuction and skin-tightening procedures, such as an arm lift, may achieve the best results.
