A Mono PDO thread lift is a non-surgical treatment that uses smooth, dissolvable threads made from polydioxanone (PDO). These threads are placed under the skin to support collagen production and skin tone and texture over time.
Unlike lifting threads designed to reposition tissue, Mono threads do not pull or lift the skin. Instead, they aim to trigger a healing response to gradually support firmer skin.
During treatment, threads are inserted beneath the surface of the skin using a fine needle or cannula. The threads form a supportive structure that encourages fibroblast activity and promotes the production of new collagen, a process known as neocollagenesis.
